What a great day the students in HRHS Cattle Show Team had at the Newcastle Show 2023. The students have been working hard each break and on Tuesday afternoons after school to prepare four heifers for this years shows. The results are as follows;
Junior Judging: Here students are presented with three groups of four animals and must place them from 1st to 4th in each group. Their decisions are compared to the Over Judge's decision. If they match or are close then the students are asked to talk on a microphone in front of the crowd and justify their placings. Points are awarded for the way they identify points of distinction between animals.

The students performance has improved dramatically due to their commitment since the first show this year in Maitland. The team will attend Gresford next friday and then the Upper Hunter Show in Muswellbrook. This will end the busy show season until October in Scone at the Beef Bonanza.
Thank you to Mr Sam Price for transporting the stock and supporting the team. Thank you to the staff also for taking my lessons whilst I attend the show with the team.
