Subject selection for 2026

At Hunter River High School, we are proud to offer a wide variety of engaging and enjoyable elective courses designed to cater to the diverse interests, strengths, and talents of our students.

To further support our students in making informed decisions about their elective choices for 2026, we schedule our Subject Selection Information evening for Years 8, 9 and 10 (2026) in September.

Students in year 7, 8 and 9, along with their parents/carers gain valuable insights into the range of elective courses on offer at Hunter River High School in 2026.

Parents/carers and students receive valuable information on the elective options available for next year and are provided an opportunity to speak directly with faculty representatives about subjects that best suit each student’s interests, strengths and future pathways.

In addition, important information is shared on the Web Preferences system and how students are required to correctly select their electives.

We strongly recommend that students attend this event with their parent/carers.
