9E Science 'Silent Sound' Articles

Humans can hear sounds with a frequency between 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. Sounds with frequencies above or below this range, which we cannot hear have many applications: such as echolocation, SONAR and ultrasound.

9E Science students were challenged to enhance a NEWS story relating to 'Silent Sound' by including their class learning and extended learning on the topic of Waves. Here are three outstanding examples of their learning and achievement.
